We were trying to find pictures of the machine gun mounting so that it could be recreated.

Do you know who made this kit? Was it yourselves? I would love to be put in touch with the person or company who made this as they may have photographs of the original real life helicopter. What reference did you use for the gun mount?

Can you assist us with this?

By the way I was a SAAF officer during the South African Bush War and regularly flew in the Alloutte 111 including in the gunship which had a 20mm cannon. When firing it would push the aircraft sideways. Maybe you will do a SAAF one someday.

Kind regards

Jeremy
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18196575693942192817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3093453172525130621.post-36402914915655719392016-02-03T18:16:50.471-08:002016-02-03T18:16:50.471-08:00I'm working on a couple of painting tutorials ...I'm working on a couple of painting tutorials at the moment so will get something useful up soon. I also needed to balance that with fitting so many figures in a pretty tight space, and in the absence of more info at the time of sculpting, the results are the absolute best I could do with the resources available to me at the time.

I'm always on the lookout for more reference though, and happy to be corrected when I get it wrong!

Kosta

Kosta Herkohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08277522446791515420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3093453172525130621.post-4399931723472353012015-02-08T07:40:37.053-08:002015-02-08T07:40:37.053-08:00Hi Kosta

All weapons should be in the lap as you have some of the figures and yes pointing to the right. Never pointing upwards as an AD could damage a rotor blade etc! The Tech and pilot are brilliant. There were three phases of helicopter drills. Seating you have is the last phase with MAG gunner on right at rear of helicopter. Stick leader would sit next to him behind the pilot so he could look forward. Also stick leader would have head phones on so he could listen to the Fire Force talk in. Helicopters Dark Earth Dark Green. Great stuff Kosta brilliant figures.johny hophttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04504776636947234619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3093453172525130621.post-2011379529262977632014-11-29T00:24:52.741-08:002014-11-29T00:24:52.741-08:00Thanks Ash.
