I'm delighted (and relieved!) to present photos of the finished diorama.
The figures were painted using acrylics (mostly Vallejo plus some GW paints) for the uniform areas, and a combo of enamels and oil paints for the faces and hands. I've posted previously about my technique for painting skin areas here, and for the 1/35 figures in this diorama I used the same system, just taking more time with each figure and using more tones.
I entered the diorama in the Military Dioramas category at the annual Model Expo here in Melbourne, and was super stoked to not only take first place in my category, but also be awarded the People's Choice award for the show.
A huge 'thank you' to everyone who supported me during the creation of the diorama, especially my wife Lina, and all who voted for A7V Wotan at the show, or spoke to me or commented on the model.
Thanks!
